MASERATI LEVANTE AWARDED “BEST INTERIOR” HONOR FOR 2017 BY WARDSAUTO
Luxury Italian Brand’s First SUV Makes “Ten Best Interior” List Through use of Sumptuous Design and Unparalleled Comfort
May 10, 2017 (Englewood Cliffs, NJ) – Maserati’s first SUV in its more than 102-year history, the Levante, has been named one of WardsAuto’s “Ten Best Interiors” for 2017. The Modena-based brand received an award Tuesday from WardsAuto during a ceremony in Detroit, Michigan, to commemorate the honor. Andreas Wuppinger, Head of Interior Design for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, EMEA Region, was in attendance at the Cobo Center in Detroit to accept the award on behalf of Maserati.
There were 31 interiors eligible this year for the list, which is in its seventh year. The “2017 Wards Ten Best Interiors” focuses not only on comfort, but aesthetics, usage of materials, fit-and-finish, ergonomics and user-friendly ability of electronics packages. Nominees were chosen from vehicles that were all-new for the model year or which had significantly improved elements. This was the brand-new Levante’s first appearance on Wards’ interior list.
The Maserati Levante is a 100 percent made-in-Italy product, known for both its powerful performance and luxurious amenities behind the wheel. The interior is characterized by horizontal tension lines, highlighted by real material elements to create a feeling of absolute harmony between the front and rear passenger compartments. The Levante feels like a first-class lounge thanks to standard leather seats, which can be further enhanced with an optional dual-color leather dashboard and, in line with a long Maserati tradition, there is availability for customers to personalize their vehicle according to their individual taste. To top things off, the Levante can also equipped with the optional Zegna Luxury Package, combining premium Italian leather with bespoke silk from Ermenegildo Zegna, one of the leading fashion designers in the world. The interior has been created with the finest materials using optional premium leather and Ermenegildo Zegna silk made in Trivero by the Zegna wool mill with a patented process.
The Levante is currently available in U.S. dealerships with a starting price of $72,600 for the 345-horsepower Levante and $83,800 for the 424-horsepower Levante S model.
